TekView Explorer is a stock charting and technical analysis tool designed to assist traders become more proficient through practice and testing. It provides an easy-to-use interface the supports multiple views, overlays and indicator charts. Traditional indicators can be inserted with simple menu selections. More complex custom indicators can be derived using easy drag-and-drop methods (no programming necessary) or through a scripting interface that supports Microsoft's VBScript and JScript.
Petri nets are used to model fuzzy logic decision rules, which can then be used to automatically back test any number of stocks. Transactions (real as well as hypothetical) are stored in portfolios. The portfolio interface and charting interface are coordinated for convenient review and assessment of trading patterns.
System includes a portable back-end and data management tools. Free end-of-day price updates are obtained from the Internet.
